Navigation & System Controls
Basic Navigation
Back |
Swipe from the left or right edge of the screen. |
Home |
Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen. |
Recent Apps |
Swipe up from the bottom and hold. |
App Drawer |
Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen. |
Switch Between Apps |
Swipe left or right on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. |
Volume Controls
Volume Up/Down |
Press the volume buttons on the side of the device. |
Mute/Unmute |
Press the volume down button until the device is muted, or press the volume up button to unmute. |
Quick Mute (Do Not Disturb) |
Press the power button and volume up button simultaneously (on some devices). |
Power Menu
Power Off/Restart |
Press and hold the power button. |
Emergency Mode |
Available in the power menu (varies by device). |

Quick Settings & Notifications
Notifications
Open Notifications |
Swipe down from the top of the screen. |
Clear All Notifications |
Swipe down to view notifications and tap ‘Clear’ or ‘Clear all’ (if available). |
Snooze Notifications |
Swipe slightly left on a notification and tap the clock icon to snooze. (If available) |
Quick Settings
Open Quick Settings |
Swipe down twice from the top of the screen, or use two fingers to swipe down once. |
Edit Quick Settings |
Tap the pencil icon in the Quick Settings panel to customize tiles. |
Text Selection & Editing
Text Selection
Select Text |
Tap and hold on a word, then drag the selection handles to select more text. |
Copy/Cut/Paste |
After selecting text, options for copy, cut, and paste will appear. |
Select All |
Double tap the selected word, then select ‘Select All’ option. (If available) |
